The 2019 American cyberpunk sci-fi action blockbuster “Alita: Battle Angel" launched a special promotional campaign in Taiwan before its release. Using mapping projection technology, the visuals were precisely designed to match the structures and details of various buildings, projecting scenes and characters from the film onto landmarks such as Huashan 1914 Creative Park in Taipei, Tiger City in Taichung, and the Central Park MRT Station in Kaohsiung.

It was more than a simple projection, the building facades were transformed into exclusive visual stages, immersing audiences in the world of the film and allowing them to experience Alita’s futuristic atmosphere and battle energy. By blending the architectural features with the movie’s ambiance, each projection became a unique performance tailored to its location, successfully capturing public attention and sparking widespread buzz.
